    NEW BEGINNINGS

    Started meeting in the Proscenium Theater (@ NWC in Orange City).

    A HOME BASE

    Turned an old car dealership into our permanent place of worship and ministry.

  • 8/10

    PASTOR

    Hired our very first full time pastor.

  • 8/13

    ANOTHER START

    Purchased on old grocery store to start a 2nd campus 20 miles away in Sheldon.

    WORSHIP

    Hired worship coordinators for Orange City.

  • 4/14

    2ND CAMPUS

    Launched our second campus in Sheldon.

    MORE STAFF

    Hired a secretary and stipend positions for campus coordinator, youth and family ministries.

    THE SEARCH

    Search team started looking for two additional full time pastors.

  • 9/16

    NEW HIRES

    Two additional pastors came on staff. One in Sheldon and one in Orange City.

This timeline gives you a snapshot of our story. Living Water started out as a group of believers praying together. Out of those continual prayers came an idea. This idea was saturated in spirit-filled worship and authenticity; wanting to welcome people as they ARE… not who people (or the “church”) thought they should be. 

Soon this idea took form and a new church was birthed - focusing on outreach and being missional. This group of believers started meeting in a college theatre. Eventually moved to a town hall and finally found a place to call home in an old Ford car dealership. It has concrete floors, metal walls and even has a “service” sign still hanging on the outside.

As Living Water began to grow, we felt the Holy Spirit saying “I have something more for you”. We soon felt the call to start a second campus 20 miles down the road in Sheldon. Home became an old grocery store - automatic swinging doors and all.

We are a church of people that want to be faithful and follow where we are called. Sometimes it's messy, and we don't have everything figured out, but we keep stepping forward in faith. We can look back and see how the Holy Spirit has guided our steps and has provided for dreams we didn’t even know existed years ago. 

We are one church in two cities. We meet in multiple locations BUT we are united with the same mission - to love God and love others.
