Worship Ministry Coordinator Job Description

Living Water Community Church, Orange City Campus

The Worship Ministry Coordinator has the responsibility for the oversight of the worship ministry at the OC Campus of Living Water Community Church.  The primary desire for the position is to help create a worship experience that brings all into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

This desire functions within our understanding of Ephesians 4:12-13, “equipping His people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”


The applicant seeks a life of personal devotion in the Word, in prayer, and in following the Holy Spirit’s leading.
The applicant possesses effective worship leading and equipping abilities.
The applicant is gifted in the leadership of others in accomplishing a common purpose.


Oversees the planning of weekly and special services for the OC Campus of Living Water Community Church, in cooperation with the pastor and other staff members.  This includes the recruiting and involving congregation members of all ages.
Leads corporate worship as necessary, delegating as needed.
Seeks out ways to include corporate prayer and a variety of artistic expressions of worship (including but not limited to drama, dance, and visual art).
Leads and works with the Worship Support Team, which is a team meant to review services, encourage the Coordinator, and help think of ways to improve corporate worship.
Works with volunteers to facilitate technology including sound board and computer equipment.
Representing the Worship Team, participates as an Event Committee member reviewing OC facility rental requests and being responsible for overseeing stage preparation if the event requires it.  In addition, participating or delegating AV responsibilities if the event requires it (i.e. weddings, receptions, funerals, etc.)
Seeks to network with other churches and community entities for kingdom collaboration in and beyond Sunday worship.
Communicates with the stewardship team to assess costs of maintaining and purchasing equipment.
Along with the help of the pastor and key leadership, the applicant takes part in other ministry responsibilities as gifted.
Accountability and Compensation

Hours and pay based upon qualifications and experience.  A minimum of 20 hours per week is desired.
The applicant will be accountable to the pastor and the Church Council for the carrying out of responsibilities.  Reviews to be held no less than annually.
The applicant will be expected to be in agreement with Living Water Community Church’s statement of beliefs and the biblical standards set by the Christian Reformed Church.
